You are right I am busy but if I was to be completely honest it is more like I find ways to keep my husband busy while I do a lot more sitting. lolLindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11714725782520722613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9205303721917308065.post-61964021472265904322014-08-17T10:58:46.870-05:002014-08-17T10:58:46.870-05:00Barb, I too have been trying to think about what s...Barb, I too have been trying to think about what should become of stuff when we are gone and sure don't want to stick my kids with a lot of junk for sentimental reasons. I have a lot of my parents things here so I know the pull it exerts. I actually live in the house I moved into with my mother when I was only 16 and then inherited at 20.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11714725782520722613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9205303721917308065.post-15137566288311395812014-08-16T09:44:28.919-05:002014-08-16T09:44:28.919-05:00Decluttering is something I suck at, too, as you k...Decluttering is something I suck at, too, as you know. I commend you for all the effort you've put into that huge job and you've accomplished a lot, already. Now, as we sort through closets, etc., we ask ourselves, "when we die, what will our kids do with this?" If the answer is keep, we keep, but if it's toss, we toss now And if they'll give it away then, we give it away now. So that they don't have to deal with it after we die. A little morbid, but it helps me deal with old marketing brochures I created at work, and things like that; those mean nothing to my kids. And, in his retirement, my husband has sorted through 2 generations of photos and had them digitized; it feels strange to throw away old photos, but we've kept what matters without taking up any space.
