Learning to Dance in the Rain

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain."
— Vivian Greene

I have a binder that  I take to my rehab sessions. It includes illustrations for my physiotherapy exercises, my notes from occupational therapy, ideas from mindful meditation sessions and so much more.
I put our photograph of storm clouds rolling in over the lake on the binder cover with the quote above written on it. I look at it and I feel inspired to keep working right now. I can't lie around waiting for the perfect moment, or for that full recovery,  life is happening right now so just get on with it and Dance!

My binder is starting to look a bit worn and getting overstuffed,  so I think it is time for a new binder and a new photo.
What do you think of this one?

We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if we have waited in the darkness.

Thasnk you for linking me to your blog Linda. You are an amazing woman and should be very proud of yourself for not crumbling. We survivors must continue to fight the good fight of faith and dance in the rain even when it pours.

The photos are beautiful, Linda. Do you are loons there? I can almost hear them in the photos.

I love your photos. A stroke taught me to cherish small moments of joy that lift my spirits too.

Cassidy.. my pleasure. Thank-you for saying such nice things.

Grace.. There are loons there. We hear them almost every night. Last year we had a pair raise a baby right beside our dock for the first time; I had no idea the could make so many unique calls when they have a little one. It was so exciting watching him grow. I sat on the dock watching them for hours and got quite worried when they were out of sight for too long.

Rebecca, you are so right, we must learn to cherish those moments. And there are so many moments once you decide to look for them!
